Resources and Connections Night
Do you have a family member or loved one struggling with addiction? Do you sometimes feel frustrated, angry, sad, depressed, powerless, not knowing which way to turn?
Are you part of a CNY organization or governmental body involved in addiction treatment and/or prevention? We invite you to share your information and thoughts with us so we can unite in our efforts to help CNY residents suffering from Substance Use Disorder.
Ready2RecoverCNY’s RESOURCES & CONNECTIONS NIGHT is a free meeting where we share information and offer support for those who love someone with an addiction, or who are struggling with addiction themselves. Meetings are held monthly and are led by parents whose own kids have struggled.
Topics include how to cope with someone in active addiction or early recovery, how family members can start caring for themselves, CNY treatment and prevention resources, and free Narcan training.
If addiction treatment and prevention are important to you, we encourage you to attend!

TESTIMONIALS
“Addiction not only traumatizes individuals, but their families as well. Often feeling guilt, anger, anxiety, and despair, family members struggle to understand their loved one and wonder what they can do to help. Our Resource and Connections Night is designed to help family members find answers, community resources, and help heal family members from the trauma of living with or loving someone with an addiction.”
– Ready2RecoverCNY Co-founder Darlene Endy
“When someone you love is struggling with Substance Use Disorder, you feel overwhelmed and alone. What do you do, where do you turn, how do you help, how do you get your own life back? The Ready2RecoverCNY Resources and Connections Night helped me connect with people in the same situation, offered tips and advice, and gave me coping tools I could use. Extremely useful.”
– Ed
“The R2RCNY Resources and Connections Night helped us to release our guilt from our son’s addiction. It also helped us to connect with other families who were going through the same thing, which helped us see we were not alone. It helped because we could talk to other people who understood exactly what we were going through.”
– Elaina
The R2RCNY Resources and Connections Night made us aware of the wide range of challenges we were facing in dealing with a loved one experiencing addiction. The information presented, support, and resources available were extremely beneficial to addressing recovery for the entire family. The discussions on co-dependency and the enabling behaviors of family members in dealing with a loved one experiencing addiction were extremely informative. They started us on a path to initiate changes in our family’s approach and behaviors in dealing with a loved one experiencing addiction.”

The R2RCNY Resources and Connections Night was a wonderful experience. Looking back, I think it was pivotal in our journey to better understand addiction and allowed us to better understand addiction and allowed us to find fellowship with others who faced similar challenges. I will always remain grateful to R2RCNY for their continued assistance to those struggling with addiction, and for also supporting their families.”
